Class Descriptions

Camp, Let's Make a Movie
The goal in Let’s make a Movie camp is to introduce the students to what is required to make their own movies. Campers are dived into small groups, each of which is lead by facilitator who will help the group come up with ideas for a movie. During the week each student will add to the story line by writing their own dialogue, create the setting, and then film. Filming is finished on Friday. The facilitators will then take the cuts and edit them into a final 3-4 movie. Students can come back the following week to pick up the DVD, or have it mailed to them.

Camp, Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre Camp, like Acting Camp, is performance oriented, culminating in a final musical performance on Friday. In addition to classes in acting, dance/movement and art, students will also participate in a music/voice class.

Camp, Acting
Acting Camp is a fun filled week of acing activities designed to expose campers to all aspects of a theatrical production. Campers will rotate between classes in art, dance/movement and acting, with aspects of each rotation relating to the specific play the campers will perform on Friday of that week. In art class students will work on the set, costumes and props needed for the play. Dance/movement class is designed to encourage confidence and grace onstage, while acting class helps prepare campers for their on-stage roles. Camp will also include two hours of rehearsal each day. On Friday campers will have the opportunity to invite friends and family to watch the final performance.
