The Story
A cast of youngsters play all the parts in this tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s gangster flick. It seems Fat Sam, who runs one of the most popular clubs in town, is in danger of being closed down by his "business rival" Dandy Dan. Enter baby-faced Bugsy Malone, a killer with the ladies and a definite asset to Fat Sam. Unfortunately, Bugsy has also caught the eye of Sam's girlfriend TaIIuIah -though he's set his designs on showgirl Blousey Brown...

This wild and wacky musical includes a child's dream come true: a non-violent gang war fought with "splurge blasters" which spew forth silly string! It's a thoroughly charming concept resulting in delightfully messy fun. Originally written for children, Bugsy Malone Junior is a wonderful showcase for talented young performers, with a catchy, swinging score by the composer of The Muppet Movie.
